Demo Boards
Demo & evaluation boards
A demo or evaluation board powers an Orient Display panel up on the bench, so you can confirm how it behaves in your product's context before you commit to carrier hardware. The boards are distributed by Orient Display and work only with Orient Display panels.

Demo boards by module family
Each board mates to a specific Orient Display module family. Manuals, software, and store links are listed per model. Some manual and software links are legacy download paths kept exactly as published.

Not sure which board mates to your panel? Send us the panel part number and we will name it. Some software and manual entries are legacy download links and may need re-hosting at cutover.
Where it fits
What an evaluation settles. Datasheet numbers tell you what a panel is rated for; a demo board tells you how it behaves in your product's context — whether contrast and viewing angle hold at the angle your enclosure forces on the user, whether brightness is sufficient under the ambient light the product will actually see, how the panel reads at your intended refresh rate, and, on the touch boards, how the sensor behaves through the cover material you plan to use. Settling that before you commit to carrier hardware is cheaper than discovering it after a PCB spin.
How it differs from the other dev-tools items: a demo or evaluation board is bench hardware for assessment, not the driver you keep in the product. For production driver hardware you build into the enclosure, see control boards; for the FPC/FFC tails and cable assemblies that connect a panel to a host, see connectors and cables; and when driver, backlight, and touch electronics need to live on one board matched to the panel's outline, see PCB.
