Overseas Manufacturing & Supply Continuity

Manufacturing across multiple qualified sites, matched to your origin and continuity requirements — so a single disruption doesn’t stop your program.

Orient Display manufactures across multiple qualified sites rather than a single line. That gives an engineering and procurement team two things to plan around: a graduated set of non-China sourcing options, and continuity practices — dual-sourcing, end-of-life support, and stated lead times — that keep a long-lifecycle product supplied.

Sourcing

Graduated non-China capability

Country-of-origin requirements differ by customer and contract. We qualify production against four tiers, so you specify the level your program needs rather than accepting one fixed answer.

Tier 1 — Non-China origin

Production in Thailand or Malaysia; non-China origin shipping.

Tier 2 — COO-qualifying

Production that qualifies for a formal Certificate of Origin.

Tier 3 — Zero China factor

No Chinese components in the bill of materials, via a Taiwan partner.

Tier 4 — No China, No Taiwan (NCNT)

Available on request, qualified per program against volume.

Continuity

Continuity for long-lifecycle products

Industrial and automotive programs run for years; the sourcing model is built to keep them supplied.

Dual-sourcing

Products qualified across more than one site, so a disruption at one does not halt supply.

End-of-life / last-time-buy support

Managed obsolescence on written terms — a 12-month EOL notice and a 6-month last-time-buy window after it — so a design-in stays buildable through its lifecycle.

Lead-time transparency

Stated, plannable lead times — samples in 3–6 weeks, production in 4–8 weeks — with the site building your product identified during qualification.

Lifecycle & change control

Lifecycle and change-control commitments

For a program built on our displays, these are the terms we commit to in writing.

10-year availability

10-year availability for a designed-in module, so a qualified display does not force a mid-cycle redesign.

6-month PCN notice

A 6-month PCN notice before any product change.

12-month EOL notice

A 12-month EOL notice before a product is discontinued.

6-month last-time buy

A 6-month last-time-buy window after an EOL notice.

BOM lock on request

A BOM lock on request: no component or process change without your written approval.

10-year lot traceability

Lot traceability records kept for 10 years.

Tell us the origin tier and continuity terms your program needs, and an engineer will confirm what we can qualify.
