Appliance control panel & HMI — washer, oven, refrigerator console · full-bleed
Appliances
Displays and touch built for appliance control panels
Custom display and touch-panel manufacturer with in-house US engineering support, building control-panel modules and HMIs for white-goods and small-appliance programs — designed in from a standard module rather than tooled from scratch.
Displays built for white-goods and small-appliance programs
Appliance programs run on high volume, tight per-unit cost, and a control surface that has to stay legible in a kitchen or laundry room for years of daily use. We match the module to those constraints and support the engineering from part selection through production — not a catalog part dropped behind a decorative lens.
Washer / dryer front console display
Laundry appliances
Segment, character, and color TFT control panels with PCAP touch for washer and dryer front consoles, tuned for viewing angle and the ambient light of a laundry room.
Oven / range control panel
Cooking appliances
High-brightness TFT and touch modules for oven, range, and cooktop control panels, specified for wide-temperature operation near the heat of the appliance.
Refrigerator door display
Refrigeration
Color TFT and capacitive-touch door displays and interior HMIs for refrigerators and freezers, built for legibility and reliable touch through daily household use.
Thermostat / countertop appliance readout
Thermostats & small kitchen appliances
Low-power OLED, e-paper, and small TFT modules for HVAC thermostats, coffee makers, and countertop appliances where a clean readout and price-competitive cost both matter.
Device classes and the engineering behind them
OD has engineered custom displays for home and commercial appliances across the device classes below, built for the heat, moisture, and daily-use durability those environments demand.

The quality system behind an appliance module
What Orient Display holds today, stated plainly — and, marked in amber, the appliance-specific safety, EMC, and capacity claims a white-goods program may require that are not yet substantiated for these modules. Nothing amber should be read as a held certification.
General quality and compliance certifications we hold, applied across all industries:
Appliance-specific standards a control-panel program may require — not substantiated for these modules today, and not to be read as met:
Appliance production mechanics a buyer may ask for — also unconfirmed for these modules: dedicated high-volume appliance tooling and locked capacity commitments and PPAP / production-part-approval documentation. Holding ISO 9001, QC 080000, and a UL listing is a general quality baseline, not a demonstrated appliance-safety certification; those remain to be proven.

Regulatory & process
- RoHS and REACH material compliance and UL listing as a baseline
- Design-in from a standard module, guided by our engineering team, to a manufacturable spec
- Appliance-control safety to UL 60730 / IEC 60335 and household-appliance EMC
- Dedicated high-volume tooling and locked production capacity for an appliance program
- Design-transfer protocol for a high-volume appliance launch
Non-China country-of-origin options, by tier
For programs with sourcing constraints, four escalating country-of-origin paths — a manufacturing capability offered across every industry, at capability level.
Non-China-origin shipping
Production in Thailand or Malaysia using Chinese components, shipping from a non-China origin.
COO-qualifying
A build configured so a Certificate of Origin can be issued for the finished module.
Zero-China-factor
Production through a Taiwan partner with no Chinese bill-of-materials content.
NCNT on request
A No-China, No-Taiwan sourcing path available on request for the most constrained programs.
Built for the length of your program
Hardware programs run long qualification cycles and long production lives. We plan the engagement around that.
Long design-in cycle
We support the extended qualification and design-in cycle a hardware program runs, from concept spec to production release.
Multi-year part retention
Once a module is designed in, we hold it in production across the product's life, so a qualified display does not force a mid-cycle redesign.
Long-lived supplier
An established manufacturer that will still be here across the product's service life, so a designed-in display keeps its source.
Specs & samples on demand
Full specifications, application notes, evaluation kits, and driver-IC documentation available to your engineers.
24-hour US sample shipping
Samples ship from the US within 24 hours, so evaluation starts without an overseas wait.
US engineering support
In-house US engineers guide part selection, touch integration, and initialization alongside the factory.
Appliance buyer FAQ
Can you support high-volume appliance production?
Yes. Orient Display builds control-panel modules, touch panels, and backlights for volume programs across multiple manufacturing sites. Dedicated appliance tooling and a locked per-program capacity commitment are scoped per project; tell us your annual volume and we will confirm what we can commit to.
Can you supply wide-temperature or high-brightness variants?
Yes. Wide-temperature operation for near-heat and cold-appliance placement, sunlight-readable IPS panels, high-brightness backlighting, cover glass, and optical bonding are all standard custom capabilities.
Are your control panels certified to UL 60730 or IEC 60335?
Orient Display holds a UL listing plus ISO 9001 and QC 080000 as general quality certifications. Appliance-control safety to UL 60730 / IEC 60730 and household appliance safety to IEC 60335-1 are not substantiated for these modules today — we will not represent a module as appliance-safety-certified until those are met and documented. Talk to us about the specific standard your appliance must satisfy.
Can you do PCAP touch for a kitchen or laundry environment?
Capacitive (PCAP) and resistive touch with cover-glass integration are standard products. Water-rejection and wet-finger touch tuning, and grease-resistant cover glass for wet or greasy household use are not yet confirmed for these modules — raise the use environment with us and we will tell you what we can support today.
What are your lead times for samples and custom production?
Samples typically ship in 3–6 weeks and production runs in 4–8 weeks, depending on configuration; US samples ship within 24 hours where stocked.
Can you supply non-China country-of-origin for an appliance program?
Yes, as a capability — four escalating tiers from non-China-origin shipping through a No-China, No-Taiwan path on request. See the de-risking section above.
