E-paper displays
E-Paper Displays
An e-paper display is a reflective electrophoretic panel that holds its image with zero power and refreshes only when the content changes — the right fit for battery- and coin-cell products that update occasionally: shelf labels, badges, meters, and signage. In this catalog a display is effectively always an EPD module driven over SPI; the former separate “E-paper modules” tier is merged into this node.

E-paper display specifications
Standard ranges across the current e-paper catalog. For a specific size, resolution, or interface, start a custom project.
- Sizes: 1.54″ to 42″ — 13 diagonal sizes, 17 size-and-config entries
- Resolutions: 152×152 and 122×250 at the small end, up to 1600×1200 (13.3″), 3840×1080 (28″), and 2160×2880 (42″)
- Construction: active-matrix EPD (electrophoretic), reflective; front-light option on select sizes
- Interface: 3- or 4-wire SPI on mainstream sizes
- Operating temp: 0 to +50°C typical (one 7.5″ variant rated 0 to +40°C); storage −25 to +70°C
- Driver ICs: SSD1680, SSD1681, SSD1680A, SSD1683, SSD1677; UC8151, UC8253, UC8258, UC8179
- Part families: AES (standard reflective), AEZ (front-light / specialty), AFZ (large-format)
- Availability: Buy Here (stocked), Coming Soon, and Contact Us (custom / larger sizes)
Where it fits
Typical applications: electronic shelf labels, price tags, name badges, smart-home and meter readouts, logistics tags, and reflective signage — anywhere the content is mostly static, the update is occasional, and the power budget is a coin cell.
How it differs from the other e-paper families: a display is the reflective panel itself, driven over SPI — the whole standard catalog on this page is monochrome (black-and-white) ink. If you need black/white/red or a wider palette, that is a different pigment set: see Color E-Paper. Bare driverless glass, a non-standard interface, or a size outside the list is a custom order — start a project and we will match or build it. No minimum order to start.
