Standard TFT panels
Standard TFT Panels
A standard TFT panel is the display itself — TFT LCD glass with an LCD driver and backlight, with or without a touch panel — ready to drive from your own controller. It is the starting point for most TFT designs and the broadest part of our catalog: the widest size and resolution range, the most interface options, and the platform on which the other TFT sub-types build.

Standard TFT panel specifications
Standard ranges across the TFT catalog. For a specific size, brightness, interface, or touch option, start a custom project.
- Sizes: 0.96″ to 10.1″ standard, larger on custom
- Resolutions: 128×128 up to 1200×1920
- Panel type: IPS for wide viewing angle, TN for lowest cost
- Brightness: 250 to 600 cd/m² for indoor use; 800+ on the sunlight-readable family
- Interfaces: MCU, SPI, RGB (18/24-bit), UART, MIPI, LVDS
- Touch: none, resistive, or capacitive
- Display mode: normal black, transmissive
- Part families: AFR, AFK, AGU / AGN (UART)
Where it fits
Typical applications: automotive, white goods, smart home, telecom, industrial equipment, and medical instruments — anywhere a color display is driven from the product's own controller.
How it differs from the other TFT families: a standard panel is the bare display, timed and driven by your controller. When direct-sun legibility is the requirement, see sunlight-readable TFT; for an onboard controller and a simple serial interface instead of a raw panel, see embedded TFT modules; for a non-rectangular outline, see round and bar TFT; when touch input is the driving requirement, see TFT with touch; and to bring a design up on an Arduino- or Raspberry Pi-ready board before committing to a production part, see dev-board / maker TFT.
