Displays built for point-of-sale and self-service
Custom display manufacturer building touch-integrated TFT modules for POS terminals, self-service kiosks, and digital menu boards — from concept spec through production, with US engineering support.
Displays built for point-of-sale and self-service
Retail and self-service hardware lives on the touch panel and the readable screen — a customer or a cashier reaching the terminal directly, often under bright storefront light and across long operating hours. We match the TFT, the touch stack, and the optical treatment to that, and support the engineering from part selection through production — not a catalog part dropped into a checkout enclosure.
Countertop POS terminal
POS terminals
Color TFT modules with projected-capacitive or resistive touch for countertop and mobile point-of-sale, tailored to the size, brightness, and interface the terminal needs.
Self-service ordering kiosk
Self-service & payment kiosks
Large-format TFT with multi-touch PCAP and optical bonding for ordering, check-in, and payment kiosks that must stay legible and responsive under public, high-traffic use.
Digital menu board wall
Digital menu boards
High-brightness, wide-viewing-angle TFT panels for menu boards and shelf-edge displays that must read clearly across a room and off-axis under retail lighting.
Self-checkout lane
Interactive & self-checkout
Touch-integrated displays with optical bonding and cover-glass options for self-checkout lanes, wayfinding, and interactive retail fixtures built for repeated public touch.
Device classes and the engineering behind them
OD has engineered custom displays for retail and point-of-sale systems across the device classes below, built for the brightness, touch performance, and reliability those environments demand.
Device categories we've engineered displays for:

What Orient Display holds today, stated plainly — and, marked in amber, the retail- and payment-specific standards a kiosk or POS program may require that are not substantiated for these modules. Nothing amber should be read as a held certification.
ISO 9001 — quality management system
Orient Display's build runs under an ISO 9001 quality management system, governing document control, traceability discipline, and change management across the build. It is held across all industries; the ratings a specific program adds sit on top of it.
General quality and compliance certifications we hold, applied across all industries:

Non-China country-of-origin options, by tier
For programs with sourcing constraints, four escalating country-of-origin paths — a manufacturing capability offered across every industry, at capability level.
Non-China-origin shipping
Production in Thailand or Malaysia using Chinese components, shipping from a non-China origin.
COO-qualifying
A build configured so a Certificate of Origin can be issued for the finished module.
Zero-China-factor
Production through a Taiwan partner with no Chinese bill-of-materials content.
NCNT on request
A No-China, No-Taiwan sourcing path available on request for the most constrained programs.
Built for the length of your program
Hardware programs run long qualification cycles and long production lives. We plan the engagement around that.
Long design-in cycle
We support the extended qualification and design-in cycle a hardware program runs, from concept spec to production release.
Multi-year part retention
Once a module is designed in, we hold it in production across the product's life, so a qualified display does not force a mid-cycle redesign.
Long-lived supplier
An established manufacturer that will still be here across the product's service life, so a designed-in display keeps its source.
Specs & samples on demand
Full specifications, application notes, evaluation kits, and driver-IC documentation available to your engineers.
24-hour US sample shipping
Samples ship from the US within 24 hours, so evaluation starts without an overseas wait.
US engineering support
In-house US engineers guide part selection, touch integration, and initialization alongside the factory.
Retail & kiosk buyer FAQ
Can you build large-format TFT for kiosks and menu boards?
Yes. We manufacture color TFT from 0.96" up to 32", including sunlight-readable IPS variants and high-brightness backlighting for storefront and window-facing placements.
Do you supply projected-capacitive and resistive touch?
Yes. Both PCAP and resistive touch panels are standard custom capabilities, with cover-glass, multi-touch, and optical bonding options integrated to the module.
Are your displays rated for always-on commercial duty and burn-in?
We build with commercial deployment in mind, but a quantified always-on duty-cycle and image-retention (burn-in) rating is not substantiated for these modules today. Tell us your operating hours and duty profile and we will tell you what we can support.
Can you meet payment-terminal or outdoor-kiosk compliance?
PCI PTS / EMV payment-display compliance and NEMA / IP / IK outdoor-kiosk ratings are not substantiated for these modules today. Raise the specific standard your terminal or enclosure must satisfy and we will tell you what is in scope.
What are your lead times for samples and custom production?
Samples typically ship in 3–6 weeks and production runs in 4–8 weeks, depending on configuration; US samples ship within 24 hours where stocked.
Can you supply non-China country-of-origin for a retail rollout?
Yes, as a capability — four escalating tiers from non-China-origin shipping through a No-China, No-Taiwan path on request. See the de-risking section above.
