Telecom & networking
Displays built for networking and telecom hardware
Custom display manufacturer with in-house US engineering support, building front-panel readouts, status displays, and touch HMIs for networking and telecom equipment.
Where our modules go in network equipment
Network equipment runs continuously for years, lives in racks and enclosures rather than on a desk, and needs a readout that communicates status at a glance. We match the display to those constraints and support the engineering from part selection through production — not a catalog part dropped into a rack enclosure.
Router / switch front-panel status readout
Router & switch status displays
Character and graphic LCDs and small OLED modules for the port-status, link, and alarm readouts on the front of a router or switch, driven directly from an MCU.
Firewall / gateway front-panel HMI
Network-appliance front panels
Color TFT modules with capacitive touch for firewall, gateway, and network-appliance front-panel HMIs, tailored to the interface, brightness, and touch integration the product needs.
Base-station cabinet control panel
Base-station & enclosure HMIs
Wide-temperature, ruggedized TFT and touch panels for base-station and cabinet-mounted control interfaces that operate in unconditioned enclosures.
Optical transport line-card equipment bay
Optical-networking equipment
Compact front-panel displays and indicators for optical transport, line cards, and access nodes, specified for legibility in a dense equipment bay.
The quality system a telecom buyer qualifies against
What Orient Display holds today, stated plainly — and, marked in amber, the telecom-specific standards a network-equipment program may require that are not substantiated for these modules. Nothing amber should be read as a held certification.
Quality and compliance certifications we hold today, applied across all industries:
Telecom-specific standards a network-equipment program may require — not substantiated for these modules today, and not to be read as met:
Reliability claims a buyer may ask for — also unconfirmed for these modules: quantified high-MTBF / extended-operating-life ratings for continuous-duty equipment and outside-plant / GR-63 thermal and altitude test compliance. Holding general quality certifications is not the same as meeting telecom-grade equipment standards; those remain to be proven per program.

The constraints network-equipment programs bring to a display, and where Orient Display's proven capability meets them — with anything not yet substantiated for telecom use marked in amber, never implied.

Non-China country-of-origin options, by tier
For programs with sourcing constraints, four escalating country-of-origin paths — a manufacturing capability offered across every industry, at capability level.
Non-China-origin shipping
Production in Thailand or Malaysia using Chinese components, shipping from a non-China origin.
COO-qualifying
A build configured so a Certificate of Origin can be issued for the finished module.
Zero-China-factor
Production through a Taiwan partner with no Chinese bill-of-materials content.
NCNT on request
A No-China, No-Taiwan sourcing path available on request for the most constrained programs.
Built for the length of your program
Hardware programs run long qualification cycles and long production lives. We plan the engagement around that.
Long design-in cycle
We support the extended qualification and design-in cycle a hardware program runs, from concept spec to production release.
Multi-year part retention
Once a module is designed in, we hold it in production across the product's life, so a qualified display does not force a mid-cycle redesign.
Long-lived supplier
An established manufacturer that will still be here across the product's service life, so a designed-in display keeps its source.
Specs & samples on demand
Full specifications, application notes, evaluation kits, and driver-IC documentation available to your engineers.
24-hour US sample shipping
Samples ship from the US within 24 hours, so evaluation starts without an overseas wait.
US engineering support
In-house US engineers guide part selection, touch integration, and initialization alongside the factory.
Telecom & networking buyer FAQ
Do you build displays for networking and telecom equipment?
Yes. Telecom and networking hardware is among the named applications for our color TFT and capacitive touch modules — front-panel status displays, appliance HMIs, and enclosure control interfaces — supported by in-house US engineering from part selection through production.
Can you supply wide-temperature or sunlight-readable variants for outdoor cabinets?
Yes. Wide-temperature operation, high-brightness and sunlight-readable IPS panels, ruggedization, waterproofing, and optical bonding are all standard custom capabilities for enclosure and outside-plant installs.
Are your displays NEBS-certified?
Orient Display holds ISO 9001, QC 080000, and UL listing. NEBS Level 3 (Telcordia GR-63-CORE / GR-1089-CORE) and ETSI EN 300 386 telecom EMC are not substantiated for these modules today — we will not represent a display as telecom-grade until those are met and documented. Tell us the specific standard your equipment must satisfy and we will tell you what we can support.
What are your lead times for samples and custom production?
Samples typically ship in 3–6 weeks and production runs in 4–8 weeks, depending on configuration; US samples ship within 24 hours where stocked.
Can you supply non-China country-of-origin for a network-equipment program?
Yes, as a capability — four escalating tiers from non-China-origin shipping through a No-China, No-Taiwan path on request. See the de-risking section above.
Can you meet a carrier's reliability and MTBF requirements?
Quantified high-MTBF and extended-operating-life reporting to a carrier's standard is not yet confirmed for these modules — share your reliability requirements and we will tell you what we can support today.
